The Rahbanis could not have done what they have without the talent of many Armenians who have helped them over the decades.

Ghassan Rahbani is the nephew (in-law) of the Great Fayrouz, which makes him the cousin of Ziad Rahbani.  Ghassan Rahbani’s first piano teacher was Armenian and he is a big fan of Armenians.  Ziad also is a great fan of Armenian culture.  Ziad is a unique artistic genius who has directly confronted the bigotry and divisive policies of his fellow countrymen.

It is heart warming to see that the real Lebanese are standing up for their fellow citizens and that the Christian Lebanese are not all fascist thugs. The song is in a “we are the world” style and is certainly a tune that will be remembered in your head for a while.
